Meet Mrs. Kidd

A Little About Me:
Hello!  My name is Lindsay Kidd.  The 2015-2016 school year will be my tenth year teaching at East Side. I taught for four years in fourth grade, and this will be my sixth year in second grade.  I grew up in Marietta and attended Murdock Elementary, Dodgen Middle, and Pope High School.  I went to Clemson University in South Carolina, where I earned my undergraduate degree in special education.  I have also completed my gifted education endorsement through the county. Mr. Kidd and I welcomed our first child into the family in April of 2013.  Our little boy is a complete joy in our lives!  When I'm not teaching, I enjoy crafting, reading, writing, painting, playing with our shih tzu, Riggs, and watching Clemson Tiger football!

 About My Teaching Philosophy:
I became a teacher, because I truly have a passion for learning and for passing my joy of  learning to my students.  I believe that every student has immense capacity to learn new things and succeed, and that each student is a unique individual with strengths and interests.  My goal is for students to come to school to an environment that fosters opportunities to take risks, attempt challenges, and learn from one another.  I believe that sometimes our mistakes become our greatest moments of growth.  May we all learn and grow together this year!
